Here are a few pictures of our last weekend with Dave.
Yesterday the kids were able to collect Easter Eggs at an acitivity hosted by the housing here on base...Spencer was so funny to watch, as he got one egg, then was done. Until he saw the other kids picking one up, then he wanted only the one they had...not the hundred still on the ground.
My neighbors surprised myself and two other expectant mothers on our street with a surprise baby shower on Monday afternoon. It was a good lift, after such a hard weekend, and I was glad for the distraction among the laundry and other chores that day.
I was also able to leave the kids for an evening to teach another gardening class, it was nice to get away, and great to find a good babysitter that I will use again.
Besides the obvious it has been the little things that have gotten us through this last week. A kind sister who offered to sit behind me at church and help with the kids, the neighborhood kids playing with Spencer so I can sit down for a few minutes, meals and cookies just dropped by to give me a break, e-cards to make us smile, phone calls to lift my spirit, and Amanda offering me one of her missing daddy presents when she knew I was having a hard night. I am so blessed, and I now know that we can get though this.

It's sounds like you had a good week despite all that is going on. Glad Dave made it safely thus far, and I'm glad to hear that there are so many little things going on in your life. You're right that all it takes to make a day is one little thing, any little thing. Baby shower, food, help at church, what blessings to you! You are all in our prayers, and I hope you are able to have another good week.

I have been super amazed and impressed watching you be the one with a deployed spouse. Also, that talk we had the other night about being a nice mom was just what I needed. You are such an example to me. Thank you.
You're awesome Natalie! Hang in there. I'm glad that you have good support. It's so hard having your husband be gone. Hurray for a baby shower! That's always fun. I'm glad he's safely arrived.
It's good to hear from you and know that you've heard from Dave. I'm thankful that prayers have been answered in your behalf...that people have followed promptings and been kind and supportive, and that you feel confident now. You are so loved, and Heavenly Father places people and feelings and words in your life to strengthen you when a boost is needed. It's an amazing gift of love and faith.....a gift I've relied on quite often in my life.
