Loved this activity, and loved the blueberries, nothing better than a bowl of granola with fresh blueberries, or lots of blueberries for our smoothies, or blueberry pancakes, I think a cobbler is coming next...is your mouth watering yet?
The kids have also been picking blackberries right behind our house for a month now, they are a bit tart, but a fun activity, and good for the kids to munch on when they are out playing.
Dave and the girls also found this vine growing amongst the blueberry bushes, and took some pictures to show me later.
I tried to go back and find it, but it got dark and the kids were ready to go. It is called a passion vine and is one of my all time favorites, very cool to see it just growing wild amongst the blueberries. And I had never had seen the fruit before, after doing some research I found out it is edible but not grown for mass production, as it has some problems when grown on a large scale. Our tropical climate does have some perks!
