Happy Birthday to our sweet baby boy... we are so blessed to be a part of your life!

One year ago today I entered the hospital knowing this would be your birthday. It was the probably the most difficult and all together wonderful day of my life. Such contradictory emotions and childbirth complications, made for a hard childbirth and a hard recovery. I still remember so clearly how badly I wished to hold you when I heard your perfect cry, and how much I ached for your dad to be there for us both. But as time moved forward, I came to see all that your wonderful spirit had to offer our family, and I knew why you were meant to be the "deployment baby". I bit of heaven in our home, a bit of love for everyone to share. And I love you for giving us that, and more. I can't imagine our family without our baby jacob.
