*Figured out how to work the mp3 player Dave gave me for mothers day...finally!
*Lovely endless uninterrupted conversations with Dave about everything we never have time to normally talk about these days.
*A trip to a favorite outdoor store...Sierra Trading Post.
*Took a drive with Dave up the mountains with a stop to enjoy the river for a short while.
*Ate a Grasshopper Iceberg Shake, the best! (When did this become a chain store!!!! I grew up like half a mile from the original, I have obviously been in the south way too long.)
*Ate excellent food that I didn't prepare or clean up after.
*Slept in until 8 am (Ok I could do this only one morning, but it was blissful)
*A trip to my favorite place, the temple, and it was only one exit down the freeway!
*Actually missing my kids and wondering if they are missing me.

Dave and I escaped for four days without kids this weekend to attend an interview in Idaho. It was fun and relaxing and besides being slightly anxious the first day leaving my kids (I haven't done that a lot) and having some flight issues, it was wonderful. Just wish I could go again with him when he travels again in two weeks!

Sounds like fun! I miss the Iceburg.
What part of Idaho???
Hooray for weekend getaways with your hubby! The way I see it, it's a win-win situation - you get some precious time to reconnect with your hubby, and when you get back, you appreciate your kids more and they appreciate you more (well, for like five minutes. :)>) I'm crossing my fingers for you guys and your interview!
sounds wonderful....and I'd like to try that milkshake, yum.
