Spring Break take 2

Since we had a two week Spring Break this year we played hard.  After Goblin Valley, we got home to loads to laundry and cleaning up from camping.  We stuck around town for a few days and fit in a hike with the Jacobsons up to mica mines...I love watching these two friends play together...Maren gets her tomboy fix in very time.

Then leaving Dave behind to work (as they opened a second urgent care clinic for him to run that week) we headed to Utah for more fun with cousins.  My plan was for me to help Doug in the yard while the cousins played.  We got one good day of work in, before crazy weather, including snow, hail and lots of rain set in. But we managed to get a fair amount done that day, and I enjoyed hanging out with Heather and doing lots of outings with the kids.
I think this is my favorite picture of the whole trip.  Spencer loved to play with Lyla and she loved his attention, as long as her mom wasn't too far away.  Look at those grins!
I had to laugh, if not I would have cried at my unpreparedness for this trip.  We left behind several things...including shoes for Spencer!  He had climbed in the car without them on...of course!

We spent one evening at Hollywood connections.  The kids loved all the games and rides, and we even got to do some skating, which was a blast.  Jacob got fairly independent with the pvc roller thing, and Spencer got so he could skate without anything!  It was fun to watch Ethan and Sydney get the hang of it as well.

We visited the new aquarium that had opened the week prior.  It was neat, but super busy, and hard to keep track of the kiddos at.  I loved the shark tank tunnel and the kids loved taking all kinds of pictures of their favorite fish.  This unicorn fish was a favorite of several.  And the massive eel was incredible.  It only showed up for a couple of minutes, but I would have watched it all day.  Emily and her crew joined us this day, and some others as well, and mom also joined us...I just forgot the get pictures...next time!

Miss Amanda was huge trooper with the whole trip.  She wasn't feeling well the whole time, especially this day at the aquarium.  She was in tears and ready to go home about half way through.  Turns out she had what we thought was bronchitis, and later learned was pneumonia...tough break!

While there was no fish in this exhibit (hopefully there will be more in months to come) the kids loved the rope bridge, If  there wasn't the massive line they could have spent all day there.

I even got to catch up with Erin one evening, it was awesome to see her again, Christy was not feeling well this time, but next time for sure!

And before we headed for home Heather graciously took all the kids to a story time at the library so I could go to the temple, and she let me borrow some church clothes, and she fed my kids my while I packed up my car...amazing sister in law if you ask me!  I was so grateful!

My favorite part of the trip was watching all the cousins play together.  I loved watching them color pictures together, scooter in the snow, make a slide down the stairs, and sing and dance to frozen a million times (especially Ethan).  Fun memories for sure!
