One last trip ended our fun summer. This time it was to Bear Lake with cousins! But first, on the way we spent a day in Salt Lake attending my nephew Josh's mission farewell and visiting my mom in a rehab center, post knee surgery. After her surprise arm surgery from her fall in the spring, she had decided to postpone the knee surgeries she had scheduled. But her knee had other ideas. It started to become immobile and very painful. She had no choice but to get it replaced as soon as possible. She was a trooper, as her arm still had not fully healed. simple things like using crutches and opening doors made this time very hard. We were glad for a quick visit, and the cousins enjoyed time playing on her wheelchair
And on to Bear Lake and beautiful Logan canyon! We spent an afternoon at Tony's grove, and enjoyed the beautiful wildflowers that were at peak season.
You really can't go wrong with Bear Lake there is always so much to do. Boats, paddle boards, pools, hot tubs, mini golf, and lots of cousin time. The Allred clan was kind enough to invite us to spend this week with them. Patty and Megan and Heath joined us for a couple days, and even Madison and little Nelson spent most of the week with us. We really enjoyed
After everyone had their fill of the lake we spent a day venturing up to do a tour of the Minnetonka Cave. It was nice to cool off for a few hours inside!
On our drive home we went back through Salt Lake and spent a night with Steve and Annette and their kids. We had a fun afternoon at Snowbird, except when I left my purse on the top of the mountain...woops! And even lit some fireworks in the backyard for fun. Brecken taught me how to play exploding kittens, seriously crazy game, but Brecken is the most fun game partner ever.
