Double Birthday Whammie

Happy Birthday Amanda! (Nov 28th)
We celebrated her 8th birthday last week. She had a horse themed party at our neighborhood center, including watching the movie Spirit in their theatre there. She was all smiles, and so was I, as it was very low key. I loved that all her gifts were animal themed, her friends all know her very well.
Here are the top eight things I love most most about Amanda...

1-She loves animals, and they love her. (This is amazing to me considering Dave and I are not really animal people, I even tend to be nervous around them.)
2-She is a fun friend to have
3-She is an amazing big sister, very loving and protective of her siblings
4-She loves to read
5-She has a beautiful smile (I especially love her dimple)
6-She dreams big
7-She loves to play pretend still
8-She cares about about how she looks (ie-no more stripes and polkadots together...finally!)

Her dad had picked out this horse for her, and she was so thrilled about it, the grin while a little cheesy, I thought said it all=)

Nothing like your oldest turning eight to make you feel old, but on top of that I also had a birthday last week. I think I will postpone the next one for a while=) Stacy took me out to lunch to a yummy soup and sandwhich place with some friends from our ward, that was fun. Thanks Stacy! (We both managed to be without kids which is quite miraculous concidering we are each others main babysitters.) And Dave and the girls spoiled me with a yummy breakfast which Dave must have worked his tail off in order to get home in time to cook, having worked the night before. I am very blessed.

Happy Birthday, to you both! I remember when Amanda was born, and then Scott right after her. They're growing up too fast! :)
