As for school being cancelled. It is one of those things you hear about, and wish would happen to you, as growing up in Utah snow days are rare. So here's to snow in Louisiana, and for the record I am in flip flops today=)
Just in case you think I am a terrible parent, yes it was cold, and yes my kids are in pajama's...
It had started raining and I was afraid it would all wash away, so I indulged them. The snowman Amanda made was from the snow Dave scraped off his car. Maren added the mini carrot nose.
We also made it to Baton Rouge temple this weekend! Wahoo. I was so grateful as it is not an easy feat with three kids and a three hour drive. The kids enjoyed the hotel pool, and seeing all the horses as we drove through the country.

Yeah for snow! I'm excited for you guys! We've had lots of snow, but rain now....and our niece and nephews in California are hoping for snow when they visit for Christmas. Doesn't look good, though. NC had snowdays, too, when I thought "this is snow?" Businesses shut down, even WalMart....not here, though. We go everywhere and do everything in the snow and ice, but we definitely have snowdays. You should see the curvy roads and buses trying to drive on them when it's slick is not a safe thing.
Wow. I'm impressed you got enough for a snowman. At least Maren should be satisfied now that it snowed, right?
I love the school closing for mere flecks of snow. This cracks me up. How fun that the girls did get some. Emma wants to go to Monica's house in Spokane, WA for Cmas so she can be in the snow. Yeah, right, like THAT's gonna' happen. Monica siad it's up to her knees on the porch. hehe :)
I'm so excited that you guys got some snow. My kids would take any snow they can get right now. I hope that you have a Merry Christmas!
