We have had a fun couple of weeks. First of all it actually snowed! This doesn't happen very often around here, so we lived it up. We got about an inch of white fluffy, very wet stuff. And it was fun to watch the kids get wet and cold and to watch everything shut down. We had arranged to take family pictures the morning after so we have a nice white background for our southern Christmas letter this year (pics to come soon)!
This is the grand total...enough to make a few snowmen and throw snowballs at one another. The kids played with every last bit of it...even getting the stuff off of the cars in the end.
I love this of Maren...she is watching it snow inside with her snow hat on...as if anticipating the cold to come.
Spencer joining in on the watching...his response was "It's raining, mom"
This train tours around some southern and midwestern cities during the holidays. It was really fun, with several cars to walk through, including Santa, model trains, and lots of Christmas lights and decorations inside.
Spencer was in train heaven...
he could have spent all day inside watching all the model trains go by.

A few random shots of my boys...
And Amanda trying on her new glasses, we discovered she is very near sighted.

Love the glasses comment. The first thing my brother grant said when he put on glasses for the first time to my mom was "Why do you have so many grooves on your face mom?"
Funny what they see for the first time with glasses!
But I dont think you have wrinkles! Far from it!
Aly will be super excited that Amanda has glasses too! Her biggest bummer for her birthday this year was that Amanda wouldn't be there because "she's been to every birthday of my entire life."
You guys are lucking out with the snow . . . we gotta go to Utah to get it. Can't wait to see the family pictures. And I love the gingerbread men - way cute.
