Houston Temple Grounds (Jake was sleeping in the car=)

As my awesome husband is slaving away in the kitchen getting dinner ready...gotta love Mothers Day... I thought I would post pictures from our weekend in a timely manner.
We spent two days in Houston so Dave and I could attend the temple, and we took advantage of the trip to visit the Aquarium (with fountains outside), NASA and a surprise visit to an amusement park on the bay. Such fun family times, we loved the sunshine and water, and the fact that the kids actually did well on both the drive and at the restaurants we ate at. The Aquarium restaurant was very cool and had some great seafood.

Spencer loved "driving the boat"

Maren deep sea diving.

Amanda and Maren under water...all the kids loved it in this bubble. Jake crawled in and out several times.

Amanda petting the ray.

We didn't know this was here, but luckliy had the kids swimsuits in the car, so after the aquarium, which was super small and we cruised through way fast, we spent an hour playing in the fountains. It was great for a warm day.
After a night at the hotel we headed to NASA for a fun day of space exploration. This was very cool, I only wished for time without little ones to read everything and see some of the cool longer videos they wouldn't make it though.

Amanda is trying to complete a task while in constant movement similar to what in would feel like in a zero gravity situation.

Spencer checking out the space gear...

He loved this rocket. They also touched a real rock from the moon, explored the very fun space playground, watched a cool presentation on what NASA is doing today (including a mock blastoff demonstration) drove mock moon rovers, and played with lots of computer simulated space and rocket activities.
And the last few hours of the afternoon we spent at the Kemah boardwalk.

Maren loved riding her seal

OK, Jake was here too, and was a good sport considering all the stroller and car seat time he got. Love this boy!
