After 11 years of moving around the country and calling home wherever we landed. We found ourselves in the predicament of finding where "home" will be. We had many lists of things wanted, needed, hoped for (notice the bagel shop, something I really look forward to, as there are zero bagel shops in the last two towns we have lived in). And many places to look at. In the end this was our choice and one we hope to be a good one.

So here's a post to my husband who worked hard to find a good place for our family to settle for a while. He took an "interview"(slash mountain biking) trip back last fall and fell in love with the place. Dave isn't always terribly decisive about stuff like this, so when he called to tell me "this is the place" with notable excitement in his voice, I knew it was our future home.

Can you see that smile!
Since the kids have been back in school and the holidays are over we have found myself realizing how soon this journey will really happen. So much to do! We are excited to be closer to family, and excited to be closer to mountains and the recreation that we love, while at the same time shedding a few tears of leaving behind so many good friends and a military lifestyle we have become accustomed to.

Congratulations! That is so exciting and what a wonderful place to end up in! I'm very happy for your family. I hope all things go well with the move.
We just found out last week we are heading back to Bragg. Edward got the job he wanted at 3rd Special Forces. We should move in June, and he'll be in Afghanistan by July.
Congrats again!!!
Wahoo! I'm SO excited that you'll be living a bit closer! We might even be able to pull off a trip to come see you - maybe do some camping and hiking and such. When's the move? Good luck with everything.
I am so excited for you guys and your new "home". I think you picked a good one!
