So it is no secret that my boys are just a little active. It is fun to watch them grow physically, but sometimes it gets a bit crazy around here. I found these jammies on clearance a the PX a few weeks ago and couldn't resist for my Jacob. Not sure if he even knew what he was wearing as he was performing this stunt, but it made me smile and cringe at the same time. Dave had been trying to do sit ups before Jacob got started...And then, there is Spencer, he has been up to a little too much craziness for my liking lately.
On New Years eve afternoon the kids had some friends over and everyone was playing hide and seek. Spencer decided to do a random dive on Amanda's bedroom floor and ended up with his head in a rocking chair and a large gash on his right eyebrow.
This was the worst injury that I will document today, it took three stitches to close up, which Spencer did amazingly well for. Luckily I was able to go with Dave to the hospital to help keep him calm with this one. But it was a bit tramatic for my little guy. That would be OK, but it in not all...
The day after Dave took the stitches out of that wound Spencer fell off his bike and cut himself in almost the exact same spot, just a few cm above the other one, while reopening the original wound. It was luckily not as deep or as long as the first one, but could still use a stitch, but to save the trauma Dave decided to glue it at home. It was a bit rough keeping him calm but better than a trip to the ER.
Then a few days after that he jumped on our poof pillow (that had been moved just minutes before by one of his sisters next to our desk) and opened yet another wound on his forehead via the corner of the mentioned desk. Ahhhhhh. Dave looked at me and said "Not again! Then proceeded to glue it also.
As you can see we are already loosing our minds, but of course this is not all.
On Saturday while playing at the park he tripped and fell and hit the stairs and cut yet another wound next to the other eye.
Although I don't have anything else to add at the moment I can't help but say "To be continued...."

Thanks for making me feel better about having all girls . . . poor little guy! At least now Amanda can't say, "why does it always happen to me" anymore, right? I am sending safety vibes your way for no more accidents . . .
