The Christmas Eve snow storm that left us covered in white was definitely what the doctor ordered around here, it has been so fun to play in the snow without a drive up to the Mesa. So was all the fun company we had visit over Christmas break.
A few days after Christmas, Patty, Madison, and Megan came over for a visit. We spent the weekend playing games, I love playing nertz with these girls, even if they always beat me. And of course we played in the snow every chance we could get. The park nearby proved a great place for everyone to go sledding, even Amanda was brave and joined in the fun, a plastic bag and duck tape over her boot...duck tape fixes everything=)
These boys had so much fun sledding at the park. Jacob in particular really loves to sled. And while we were at the park he came up with a new game of jumping on Spencer's sled while Spencer was going down. He thought he was hilarious, and Spencer thought it was pretty fun too. Those smiles just makes me want to smile!
We also tried a trip up on the Mesa that didn't go as smoothly, as it was super cold and snowing the whole time as well. At least most of the adults got out for some sort of snow shoe fun or ski, while the kids sledded for maybe 20 minutes before heading into the car to watch a video. Maren's rosy cheeks say it all...brrrr!
