Yikes, when did my little girl get so old! Amanda turned 12 this year and asked for a brunch spa party.
She invited some friends from both church and school and they had a blast.
Yummy strawberry kiwi smoothies with whipped cream and green sprinkles and raspberry breakfast muffins.
Flip flop slippers to show off their pedicures, notice Amanda's green cast=) I think that is the only picture I got of it.
Oatmeal face masks...this was oh so messy, not recommended. But they had fun experimenting anyhow.
We also had a small family party complete with her favorite homemade oreos, a night out to eat at Cafe Rio, and some browsing at Barnes and Noble while the younger kids had holiday concerts going on. And now she is in Young Women! A week after she had her birthday we had a YW in excellence night where the girls all showcase what they have worked on through the year for their Personal Progress. As Amanda hasn't had much of a chance to work on something, she talked about the value of choice and accountability and how she has had to make a choice to be happy despite her ongoing foot issues and being on crutches for so long. She also showed off her crutch moves, which are quite impressive.
Love this girl, her smarts, her spunk, and her attitude. So lucky to have her be a part of our family!
