Once there was a really epic ride, and it was amazing, but miserable. And it needs to be documented. Because, it will NEVER ever happen again.
We got this idea to ride all of Mag 7. It was pretty ambitious at 26 miles with a good dose of difficulty. But we decided we could walk what we couldn't ride...good plan right?!?
First check out these awesome socks, I obviously need a fashion consultant.
Much of it was very ride-able, especially the first half. And it was fun, and mostly down hill.
And the scenery was amazing! Some of the best views ever. You could see all of Moab, and arches, and the mountains in the distance. But to see these views we first had to climb, and then ride some of the most difficult slick rock slabs ever. It was tough, and we were tired, and it took forever to navigate.
We were so grateful that Dave had come with us. It was not in the original plan, but I honestly don't know that we would have made it out that night without him. He helped keep us mentally going.
We had planned for about a four hour ride, in the end it took us well over seven hours. We barely made it down by dark, and didn't get home until after midnight. I have never been so happy to see my bed.

Wow! That sounds like one of those gut wrenching experiences that will stay with you. You are amazing though and I'm glad Dave was with you as well.
