Moab with Friends!

We took a little weekend trip to Moab, in early March, with some friends for some hiking and biking.  We stayed in the yurts near dead horse point, and we spent one day in Canyonlands National Park, and one day biking in Moab. The last day the weather turned cold.

At this overlook in Canyonlands there was a wind that came up over the cliff.  The kids figured out if they threw a pine-cone over the cliff that the wind would pick it up and bring it back up to them.  They had a blast throwing them  and trying to catch them again.

Amanda was on a trip with her academic team, so she missed out on these awesome memories.  But she tells me she had fun at her competitions.

Sunrise Arch was the best!  This was actually our last hike of the trip.  But it was my favorite, and it was only a short little walk to the arch.  What a view though!

During down time at the yurts the kids made a fun tepee/hut thing.  It was pretty cool.  They were in outdoor heaven.

We took the kids on a 5-7 mile loop bike ride.  They all finished.  Jacob surprised me and was in the lead group for most of the ride.  And to think, I've been holding him back by not letting him ride until he is older.  A few adults took a little ride on another trail while the kids had fun playing in the parking lot and dirt bike park.

This is how we all felt when it was time to go home...

But we had another trip planned for Goblin valley a short few months, so this was just the start.
