Bear Lake

In July we had a really fun reunion with family in Logan and Bear lake.  We started the trip in Logan, and met up with Michelle and her crew at a hotel there.  We spent a few days just playing with cousins and enjoying our time together.  On the night before we went to Bear lake, many of the adults were able to join together at the Logan temple to do temple work for Dave's father and grandmother.  it was wonderful to do that together.

Then on to Bear Lake where we watched a fun play at the Pickleville playhouse, and then played our hearts at the last for four days.

 Cousin time is the best!

We did a drive and fun hike to a lake that has a really crazy huge rope swing.  It was really crazy!
Unfortunately things did not end up great for Amanda, as she slipped from the rope and hurt her knee.  But after a trip to the ER she only had a big bruise, thank goodness.  A few weeks of crutches and she was good to go again.

Dave's extended family was able to join us as well.  It was fun to get reacquainted with his cousins and see Uncle David and Aunt Linda again.

Luke was able to rent a boat from a friend that we took out on the Lake and enjoyed lots of tubing, skiing, and surfing.  Maren and Dave both learned to surf the wake, and rumor has it they were both pretty good at it too.

After the reunion we spent an extra night in Logan and were able to reconnect with some good friends from our college days, the Shaffers.  It was fun to get to know their kids, and play with them at the park for an evening.

Dave and I took advantage of sleepy kids to go on an early morning bike ride up green canyon, and we made it to the wilderness boundary.  I have wanted to do this for ever.  Excited we finally did!

And on our way back home we spend a day with my mom having fun and swimming at her pool.
Heather brought her kids over for the swimming.  And I enjoyed loving on baby Ryan while the kids swam.  It was perfect.

This picture makes me laugh, as Jacob built a speed boat towing a water skier, after getting home.  I think he wanted to go back to Bear Lake and the fun we had.  I know I did, rather than facing the mountain of laundry and to-do's ahead of us.
