We bought a pass that allowed us to ski several different resorts in Colorado and Utah this season. The kids are all getting so they can ski blue runs and even a few blacks, so it was good chance to ski different terain and enjoy some trips with our extended family. This first trip we took was to Utah to ski Snowbasin. While the snow was not great, they at least had enough to open, which was better than our local resort that was still without any snow. Plus we loved the beautiful view from the condo we rented for a few nights. Gorgeous sunsets!
Even with less than great snow, we had a good time together. The resort was so family friendly, and we got to ski a lot of it together. The kids spent the first day remembering how to ski, and building on what they remembered. The second day we skied a lot more terrain and had fun trying harder things. We were all pretty tired by the end of the second day.
We then traveled to Salt Lake and stayed with Luke in his house he recently bought. He is trying to set it up as an AirBnB, so we thought we'd give it a trial run. It was fun to hang out and catch up.
And then we skied Alta! So much fun to ski wuch a beautiful resort, and even more fun to have cousins join us for part of the time. Sydney joined us the first day and my kids loved skiing with her. It was fun to see her confidence grow.
Plus we saw moose! Alta is pretty much my favorite, I love the scenery and the wildlife just as much as the skiing, so this was perfect.
Jacob got pretty good on this trip and started to really want to ski more challenging terrain. Luckily Brecken and Annette showed up and having them around to keep him challenged was perfect. Plus it snowed the second day! Just enough to give us a little powder to enjoy.
We spent one evening watching a Uof U gymnatics meet. I think I loved this more than the rest of my family, but they had fun with cousins. This was always one of my favorite activitied growing up. The Utes always have a great team, and are so fun to watch.
