Last Shebang of Summer

You may think all we do is travel, and you might be right.  About this time of the summer, everyone is pretty much over it.  But that is ok.  We did have a week of down time between the last trip and the ones in this blog.  And then Dave took Maren and joined the Young Women in our stake for a high adventure.  They went river rafting down the Green River, and camping at Goblin Valley prior to doing a slot canyon.  Maren had a great time, and loved having her dad along.  I got to stay home and catch up on all things laundry and house work, and my sister Tonya and her husband and daughter came through for a night on their way to a wedding.  It was fun to spend a little time with them.

And for the last shebang of summer, we joined the Roethels for a fun camping trip to Lost Lake and Crested Butte.

Seriously, it doesn't get much better than this mountain oasis.

We saw a moose, hiked the three lakes trail, fished, cliff jumped at lake Irwin, and played Bananagrams anytime we were just hanging out ot the campground.  It was a great relaxing way to end our summer.

And of course, while in Crested Butte, we stopped off for some secret stash pizza, and third bowl homemade ice cream.
