Heat Wave

Our top five ways to beat the heat... Freeze pops, ice cream, or kool-aid after every meal (yes there is a serious sugar high problem at my house), Snowcones from the snowcone man at least once a week, AC, AC, AC...did I mention air conditioning! Swimming at least twice a week...it is the only bearable way to be outside=) And drenching summer rain storms... Something about 100 plus degree temps and super high humidity makes you want to not be pregnant in Louisiana in the summer. Thank goodness I only have few weeks to go, or else I'm not sure I would stick around. It is so uncomfortable, and it is hard for one who loves to be outside. Dave's aunt Suzanne is here visiting to lend a hand and be a back up if I happen to deliver early. I think she agree's that the heat is unbearable.
This is for Dave....Maren finally decided to swim underwater! Wahoo!

I have been feeling for you in the heat - we're still getting all the severe weather e-mails for Leesville (I gotta get that changed!) and I think of you every time a heat advisory shows up. The rain pictures were awesome though - at least you never have to worry about anyone getting sick from getting their feet cold and wet - it's just hot and wet.
