Patience

No baby yet...something about never carrying beyond 39 weeks has me spoiled or something, but I am so ready (and apparently he isn't). My doctor has set up for an induction on Thursday, so hopefully he will come on his own before then, I would rather not have to go the pitocin route, but I only have so much help lined up and he is getting rather big. I guess I better start cleaning the tubs or something!

We have enjoyed our time with Emily and cousin Lily.

Emily has been chef extraordinaire, which has been awesome, and she has been giving the kids lots of attention, which they love. The highlight of the week was Friday when she took all the kids to the zoo in Alex, while I got some time to myself. I took a 2 hour nap, ate lunch while reading the newspaper, without distractions, and browsed walmart while talking on the phone for several hours. And came home to an empty house. It was so nice... thank you Emily! I did not know how much I needed that. It has been fun to watch them all play together. While at times challenging with two 2 year olds, they have done very well, and the girls have loved having Lily to play with, as Spencer isn't as game to let them baby him. While Lily loves the attention. They will leave on Tuesday and Doug will be here on Wednesday.
Spencer came down with a viral infection in his mouth three days ago, poor kid has been in so much pain I really feel for him. He can hardly eat or drink without crying, and hasn't slept well for several nights. He has drooled his way through several shirts a day, but seems like today he is feeling a little better. I really hope he doesn't pass it on to Lily, or his sisters.
This last picture is of Amanda's room this week...remember I said we cleaned it...then she got this crazy notion to go and make it into some fashion boutique, thus the clothes hung up all over the room, (I didn't know you could hang up underwear). Gotta love the imagination, even if the mess does drive me crazy!

Sending baby vibes your way :) I hope he makes his appearance soon for you. Don't forget Castor oil-works like a charm!

Luke has the same swim trunks as Spencer-great minds :) Luke, like Spencer, was sick this week too, but he had a double ear infection.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the new little guy.

Hang in there! I hate those last few weeks, the days seem to last forever. Hopefully he will come on his own before the induction. If not, hopefully the pit. goes well for you. I know some people love it. All that Castrol oil did for me is give me the serious runs and cramps and no baby. I was stupid enough to try it again with a different pregnancy... same thing with no baby. It works for some, but I don't recommend it. :) I really hope everything goes well!

You are a way nicer mom than me to let Amanda keep the boutique up in her room. It would last one day at my house. Yeah, only two more days!

A friend of mine told me told kind of jump down stairs one by one. I tried it with Kimberly (carefully) but it did not work. She was my fourth. I guess it is something about the fourth baby not wanting to quickly appear!

Nice creativity Amanda!

Good luck, Natalie! We're praying that all goes well with labor/delivery, and the first few weeks afterwards too! :)
