We had Valentines, Mardi Gras, and snow all rolled into one weekend here. Enough excitement to last us for a while. We experienced our first Mardi Gras parade on Saturday, and the kids came home with quite a loot of beads. The kids each had their own style, Amanda was super aggresive and got a ton by getting them fast. Maren got a few, but kept putting them in her bag, instead of around her neck, so they kept throwing them to her, as she looking to be left out. And every one kept trying to put beads on Spencer, but he kept taking them off, he really doesn't like them around his neck, but he thinks they make good lasso's...ouch! Now I just have to keep Jacob from strangling himself, or choking on the broken ones left lying around the house.

I am *soo* jealous. It has been one of my frenchy silly idle dreams to see a real louisiana mardi gras one day. It doesn't have to be the Bourbon street one, of course. It looks like y'all had a whole bunch of fun! Look forward to seeing y'all soon in St. George!
