Some Highlights from our camping trip last weekend to Ouachita State Park, AR...

We rented a pop up camper (with AC), it was nice to get out of the heat, and away from the bee's that attacked when the food came out while still roughing it.

Waiting patiently for food...this was day one, before the attacking bees arrived, after two stings we started eating in the camper.

Seriously...is the food ready yet!

This place had some awesome rocks...lots of quartz and lots of great climbing.

Jacobs two favorite past times were digging in the pebbles and taking bark off the trees.

"Do I have to wake up already!"

Trail wild life...this guy was as big as Dave's hand...the kids wanted to keep him.

Maren is glad we are almost done with this hike...it was so hot by the time we got back that afternoon.

Amanda cliff jumping...the reason for the hot hike above...it was well worth it...they say now=)

We had a blast with the kayak we rented, saw lots of cool wild life on our side trips up into a few coves and played with it in the shallows.

This lake is pretty clean, but no he is not drinking it...just blowing bubbles...

Loving time with daddy!

Totally wiped out...and ready to head home. He played so hard and had such a good time. Since we have been home all I have heard from him is "campfire today?" Next summer my boy!
