We learned on Friday night of the passing of Dave's father. It was unexpected and we are all very much missing him right now. It has been a rough weekend, and one of the hardest times was sharing this news with the kids. (Amanda's memories of the passing of my dad, her grandpa Marchant are still very vivid.) As we cried and shared this moment together as a family Maren spontaneously began singing the song, "I lived in Heaven", It was such a tender moment. As we all reflected on the knowledge we have of where we come from and where we are going. What comfort it brought Maren and the rest of us during this time. And how grateful I am for this girl and all my kids and family. And my heart is so full of love for a wonderful Father and Grandfather who accepted the gospel of Jesus Christ as a young man in medical school, and has diligently taught and loved his family so that we can now continue that legacy of love in our own home. We love and miss you Grandpa Rich!

I know exactly what you are experiencing.Our whole family is still grieving the loss of Gregg's mom. It is such a hard thing to face but a real part of life. I am so sorry about your loss. Please know that you are in our prayers.

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. Please know that we are sorry for your loss, and let Dave know, too. Losing a parent is something I cannot even imagine, but know it will come someday. We will pray for comfort for your family.
