So very Thankful!

On Thanksgiving we share things we are Thankful for before beginning our meal...I thought I would share a few highlights.

I am thankful
...that I can take a LONG shower and not have kids interrupting.
...that I have someone to talk to in the evenings again.
...that my kids are not competing for my attention every minute.
...I can watching Dave play with Jake and seeing them giggling together.
...I got to spend my birthday with my hubby on a date without my children for three glorious hours!
...for all the deep cleaning that Dave just does without being asked...it really needed it around here!
...that I can attend to all those details that I have let go over the past little while.

(Did I mention is so easy to be Thankful right now...I could go on and on)

Dave is thankful that his bathroom and bed are under the same roof.
Dave also loves that he got homecooked Thanksgiving dinner rather than cafeteria food.

Spencer was thinkful for milk..or maybe he was just demanding it, and I misunderstood=)

Amanda was super thankful to have her Dad here for her Birthday.

And Maren was thankful for beautiful things... when we asked her if she was thankful for the yummy food or for her dad coming home, she said "no, that was a long time ago." Apparently three days is a "long time".

Natalie, you are an amazing woman. Your latest entries have helped me to reflect on how truly blessed I am in my own life. I copied your "Lessons Learned" post and printed it for me to reflect on the next time Chris deploys, although I think I could use some of those tips now! I am so glad that Dave is home safe and sound - you did it! And though we'd never want to go through the experiences again, we are grateful for who they've helped us to become as we trust in the Lord, aren't we? Love you.

Natalie, so glad you emailed us your blog, it was fun to see all the kids (I can't believe how big Amanda and Maren are!). I'm glad you made it through Dave's deployment and that he is home. You're amazing! Becky
