What bugs!

So my computer is having issues...so no pics tonight.
Jacob is now rolling from his back to his stomach and he is no longer safe anywhere. Today he did three in a row...he is on a roll! When he first started doing it this week he was kicking his feet in the air and I got all excited thinking he was getting into the phase where he will play with his feet. (My most favorite phase of all I might add, where they try to fit all of that chubby little foot into their mouth and it comes out all slobbery and they can't help but grinning and giggling the whole time...LOVE IT!) Well apparently he is not into that...he just wants to roll. It is pretty cute to watch, and he really is quite the cute little man, regardless.
Spencer has been trying my patients like none other these days. He is full fledged into the terrible two'isms. Where the tantrums can't come often enough and I can't seem to figure out to do anything exactly like he wants it. But didn't he make the cutest little Bob the Builder. So that, and his big hugs, all make up for it. The cutest is his rocking rendition of the Bob the Builder theme song he sings while playing with his trucks and little people. He loves that show.
My Nancy's (aka Amanda and Maren) came up with those ideas on their own. Amanda of course had me even cut her hair to her shoulders to match the costume. And this week she made me cut bangs on her. (I have tried to talk her out of it for months now, but she had her mind made up.) Actually she really looks cute, and if I ever get the pictures loaded you will see. I just dread when she decides to grow them out again now. Maren's costume was inspired from a children's book series titled "Fancy Nancy" that we love. Her dad sent her a pack of beginning readers from the series and she was hooked. But was a bit disappointed when no one knew who she was on Halloween night. Being the good sport she is she just told them..."No, I am not a princess, I am Fancy Nancy", with a big grin on her face.
So we are down to just a few more weeks before Dave is home!!!!! I am seriously so giddy to think it will be over soon. I think that I have been nesting of sorts. Jake has been sleeping well so I moved him into his crib and out of the bassinet in my room. That has been great. (All except that Spencer is suddenly been in this phase of not wanting to go go to sleep when it is nap time, so he will wake him up.) But is nice to have my room back and I will maybe set up the playpen for naps in the playroom if I need to for a while. I have also been cleaning house...it all started when I found ants in my pantry last Monday. The sugar ants around here are tiny. They got all into my cereal (that was even in the plastic containers), and who knows what else I haven't discovered yet. This in not the first infestation, last month they were getting on my kitchen counter. The housing people sprayed and then I suppose the ants moved. So they came and sprayed again (in the pantry) this week and they moved again. The next day Maren said "mom! ants! mom! ants!" They were crawling along the wall of the dining room. This totally grossed me out, so I took matters into my own hands and bought some stuff that will hopefully kill the mound where-ever it is. I also had our carpets cleaned as we have carpet in our dining room (UGGGH) and I have not been able to keep up with the messes in there of late, and thought that I better before Jacob decides to start crawling. Now if I could only figure a way to keep these darn cockroaches and mosquito's out of my house I would be content. Now that I have made you all want to live in the south, I will quit rambling.

Okay, so ditto on Alex-love this stage! Ditto on Luke-hate this stage! He's throwing a lot of fits too and just can't be content with anything. Madison, in gnereal, is holding her own.

When we lived in Ft. Lauderdale, we had a ton of those sugar ants. I ended up putting all of my sugar in Ziploc bags and then in the sugar canister. Maybe try that if you already haven't? There is a special bug spray for the sugar ants. I wish I remember what it was called. You might check at Home Depot or something and ask. The stuff did help a lot.

Glad Dave is returning soon. You've done a great job!

I am jealous that Jake is sleeping so well for you and rolling over. Poor Clark is too big I think to get all the way over.
And I hope those ants leave you alone. I think the bugs are worse down by you guys than they are here.
